ZOE Institute is thinking and doing the new economics that this century calls for.
By bringing new economic thinking into public policy, ZOE Institute for Future-Fit Economies works toward securing a good life for current and future generations within planetary boundaries. Among its key priorities are understanding what drives social cohesion and inequality, redefining progress beyond growth, and firmly embedding the green transition in economic and industrial policy.
ZOE Institute builds a bridge from knowledge to action and connects stakeholders from research, policy, and civil society – always with the goal of developing evidence-based, feasible solutions to the social and ecological challenges of the 21st century.
Currently, ZOE Institute is working on an industrial strategy for Germany that paves the way for a socially just, ecologically sustainable, and resilient economy. This project aims to identify and strengthen future-fit industries, advance ecosystem building, and overcome barriers to financing the green and just transition.
As a partner, we support ZOE Institute in translating insights gained from collaboration with European decision-makers into effective policy development in Germany. This includes fostering dialogue among decision-makers and diverse political voices, as well as creating practical solutions to the pressing challenges of our time.
